The origins of this song are unknown although most versions end each verse with "one fell out". The second part of the verse varies, one version uses the line "tie a knot in your suspenders" and many other versions probably exist, probably spread around the world by children at summer camps. I first heard this "tie a knot in your pyjamas" version during a long school trip coach journey.
